Description

Here is an alternate world map of how the world would look like if the Confederates have won the Civil War in 1865 and the rest of the planet's history repeated our own with the exception of Japan, which remains an empire, and a few other elements. Here's the timeline.

Timeline:
General Lee and his soldiers triumphed against the Union forces in Gettysburg and proclaims a speech of valor and patriotism. meanwhile, Abraham Lincoln, distressed by the rebellious Southerners growing in popularity, decides to resign and allows McClellan win the election of 1864. Despite the Confederate victory, the British and French decided to abandon trade with the US during the war in favor of a more benefitial trade with the Confederates, despite the CSA's refusal to abolish slavery..
The Confederate States of America gain independence and win the Civil War on February 6th. By March 10th, however, the CSA government decides to enforce the policy of the industrial-slave system, angering opponents to the new law as they gather against it and form the Ku Klux Klan. Led by former Confederate-veteran Nathan Bedford Forrest, anti-government actions occur in the form of terrorism and the lynching of black slaves, demanding that the South remain an rural society. Horrified, the South calls for aid from the US by March 14th, seeking to put down major KKK activities in New Orleans, Nashville, Atlanta, and Charleston. In Europe, Otto von Bismarck wins against the Austrians and Czechs in order to ensure the unification of Germany, but first seeks to conquer the region known as Alsace-Lorraine, which remains under the control of the French Empire led by Napoleon III.
The USA purchases Alaska from the Russians while the CSA begins to industrialize. The economic arms-race between the feudalistic-South and the capitalist-North begins while the Japanese Empire is officially established under the rule of Emperor Meiji. At May 29th, the dual monarchy of the Austro-Hungarian Empire is born, ensuring a stabled peace between the Austrians and Hungarians.
The KKK reaches to Birmingham and sacks the city while killing every black man in sight. Furious with their actions, the CSA government responds with marshall law in order to protect the slaves, who are seen as property instead of people. 25 Klansmen are killed in the streets of Atlanta, Georgia by firing squads on November 5th.
The Southern economy, under industrial-feudalism, catches up and becomes a match towards the more democratic-capitalist system of the North. US Congress passes the Civil Rights Act of 1875 to prohibit racial discrimination in jury duty and public accommodations.
Technological advancement occurs as the economies of both the CSA and the USA begin to prosper while the European powers of Germany, Britain, France, Russia, Spain, portugal, and Italy dominate the lands of Africa and Asia. The Ottoman Empire remains the master of the Middle East and agrees to make trade with the CSA.
Hawaii is annexed by the United States while Puerto Rico joins the CSA after a stunning revolution in the Caribbean that forced the Spanish out of cuba and the Dominican Republic. US Secretary of State John Hay persuades the government to enforce the Open Door Policy to promote economic trade with the Qing Dynasty, although tensions between the xenophobic Boxers and the foreign powers from Europe begin to rise.
In response to the Open Door Policy, the Boxer Rebellion occurs, forcing the US, the CSA, Japan, Russia, Germany, France, Britain, Italy, and Austro-Hungary to unite and form the Nine-Nation-Alliance to protect the balance of the global commerce system. A slave revolt occurs in Atlanta, Georgia, resulting in the death of fifty black men and three black women by firing squads and two black men dead due to suicide. At the same time, the ideal belief in the supremacy of the "Nordic Race" begins to occur in the US while the CSA adopts the belief in the benevolent rule of the "Celtic race", claiming that to kill off the lesser races instead of enslaving them is an irrational act of barbarism.
Native Americans and Hispanics are declared "Honorary Whites" by the Confederate government and are enabled to own black slaves. Soon, the North and South begin to show different cultures with the North being of Anglo-Saxon influence while the South becomes primarily Anglo-Celtic. Washington DC, the former capital of the US before the Civil War, finally reduces into a deserted area full of ruins. President McKinley, who resides within the White House in Philadelphia, soon declares that the US, Germany, Britain, and France should join forces and form the Four-Nations Alliance while seeking to halt further expansion of industrial-feudalism and enforce democratic-capitalism.
President Theodore Roosevelt is given a Nobel Peace Prize for ensuring the end of the Russo-Japanese War in favor of peaceful commerce. CSA President William Jennings Bryan, who moved from the North as a young child, declared that silver be printed to aid the economy of the South. Mark Twain, Nikola Tesla, and Andrew Carnegie become major influences for the North's capitalistic nation while the South remains true to its traditions and produces a strong relationship with Czarist Russia and Austro-Hungary. The British and Americans continue to share the latest inventions of the world with each other while giving rise to a new Christian sect known as "The Darwinist-Christian Church", promoting God and evolution.
Kaiser Wilhelm II visits New York and meets President Taft during a diplomatic mission to persuade the US to deliver new pieces of US technology. The Underground Railroad Rebellion (URR) is formed by rebellious black slaves who promote democratic-socialism, Christianity, black nationalism, and abolitionism while being abhorrent towards capitalism, feudalism, and communism, seeing them as both oppressive systems. The CSA begins to crack down both the KKK and the URR in an attempt to further enforce law and order. The British parliament officially agrees to secretly support the URR, despite its disgust towards socialism. Eventually, Confederate-British relations are torn down while Mexico gives full support to the CSA.
Archduke Ferdinand, crowned prince of Austro-Hungary, is assassinated by Serbian extremists of the Black Hand, a secret society bent on bringing ruin to the Habsburg dynasty and abolish slavery. World War I begins as Austro-Hungary, the Ottomans, Bulgaria, and Spain join forces against the British, German, French, and Russian forces. A month later, Mexico and the CSA join the war in favor of the Austro-Hungarians while the USA declared war against the pro-slavery coalition in support of Serbia's independence. By December 3rd, 1914, the Battle of Charleston, the first major naval battle in the North American front of the war, results in a Confederate victory. Two days later, the Confederates invade Kansas while Mexico invades Utah, California, New Mexico, Colorado, and Arizona in an attempt to reclaim lost lands claimed by the US after the Mexican-American War. By December 12th, Cuba is invaded while the northern half of the Bahamas falls under Confederate control. At the same time, Belgium and Luxembourg are invaded by Germany, due to rumors of an Austria attempt to gain allies in Western Europe. In December 23rd, the First Battle of the Pyrenees results in a Spanish defensive victory, despite the French armies remaining strong.
Italy and Greece join the war on the side of the US and its allies while Serbia and Montenegro fall under Austrian control. Russian Poland is invaded by Austrian forces with the Battle of Warsaw resulting in a humiliating defeat for the Czar's armies. China, influenced by pro-CSA views, joins the war and invades Russia with a newly industrialized army while sending ships to conquer Japanese Taiwan. By April 14th, US forces invade northern Virginia while southern parts of Nebraska fall to CSA and Mexican forces. Richmond, the Confederate capital, becomes a battleground for three weeks until the Confederates finally manage to drive out the Union forces. By April 16th, Austrian troops invade the Italian Alps and occupy the city of Venice. In April 23rd, British forces from Egypt and Kuwait attack the Ottoman Empire from all sides and seize Jerusalem, the ancient holy city of the Jews.
Portugal joins the CSA side of the war after German submarines accidentally attacked two Portuguese trading ships and one cruise boat holding immigrants going to Brazil. The Battle of Salt Lake City occurs as Mexican and CSA forces claim Utah while the Siege of Las Vegas brings forth a standstill. By March 13th, when the Battles of Salt Lake City and Las Vegas resulted in a Union victory, the war in the North American Front finally turns while Europe remains in chaos. British and French forces claim the southern half of the Ottoman Empire while Munich becomes a battle field between German and Austrian forces. Eventually, Germany manages to reclaim Bavaria and marches towards the Austrian Alps while aiding italy.
The Russian Revolution occurs under Lenin and the Bolsheviks, forcing the Romanov family out of power while Russian Poland secedes from the former Czarist empire and drives out the Austrians. Prague and Vienna are eventually occupied by German forces while the Hungarian half of the Habsburg empire remains defiant against the allied powers. French forces defeat the Spanish forces in the Battle of Barcelona while the Philippines fall into japanese control. Virginia, Kentucky,Carolina, Tennessee, and Northern Missouri fall into Union hands while Mexico calls all of its forces out of US territory and withdraws from the war. Despite this, however, the South remains strong and keeps on fighting. By November 14th, Tennessee and Carolina are reclaimed, but conflict in Virginia and Missouri still continue. Socialist revolutions occur in Hungary and Slovakia, demanding an end to the war. Although short-lived, their demands for peace soon forced the Austro-Hungarian forces to demobilize.
The CSA declares peace with the USA, seeking a status quo while promising an end to slavery, leading into the signing of the Treaty of Denver of 1918, ending the First World War. USA, Britain, France, Germany, and Italy win the war. Austria is officially annexed to Germany while the newly independent nations of Hungary, Slovakia, Poland, Finland, and Yugoslavia occur on the map of Europe. Spain loses its African and Pacific colonies with the exception of Spanish Morocco. the Ottoman Empire collapses as French and British forces gain new colonies to control. Spanish Guinea becomes part of the German colony of Kamerun. Slavery is abolished in the south, freeing the blacks, but remains a techno-feudalist country that segregates the blacks from the whites.
The Prohibition Act in the US goes into affect against the illegal selling of alcohol, leading to the rise of criminal masterminds such as Al Capone. The CSA and US begin to recover and eventually gain tremendous economic wealth while Europe remains a broken, desolate land torn by war, although Germany's economy remains strong.
Ireland gains independence. The CSA bans the teaching of evolution in favor of young earth creationism and flat earth theory. At the same time, its Protestant majority begins persecuting Catholics, Atheists, Mormons, and Jews into converting. The US, in response, becomes a predominately Catholic evolutionist country. Poland, Germany, and Hungary defeat the armies of Bolshevism, preventing Communist totalitarianism from expanding into Europe.
Warren Harding becomes US president whereas Tennessee becomes home to Uncle Tom's, the world's first fast food restaurant. Mussolini's Fascist party gains popularity in Italy. The KKK leads a race riot in Tulsa, Oklahoma against rebellious black slaves led by an unknown Spartacus-like figure. Only a few managed to arrive to the US and when they did, they qere arrested and executed due to false accusations of raping white women. The French economy, with Germany's aid, begins to recover. The Ottoman Empire disappeared and the new Turkish Republic is founded.
Mussolini's March on Rome succeeds and thus he becomes the fascist dictator of the country. Meanwhile, the US, after years since its humiliating defeat in the Civil War, begins to have negative views of blacks, communists, the south, protestants, and jews. Eventually, a far-right political party called the Freedom Fighters, led by the elusive Charles Hughes Stanford, begins to arise to promote gender equality, racial purity, nationalism, fascism, anti-capitalism, anti-communism, homophobia, and militarism. The states of Virginia, Missouri, Oklahoma, and Kentucky begin to regret being part of the CSA and in time decided to become part of the US again. The rest of the south is infuriated and denounces them as traitors to their heritage. Eventually, the CSA comes into an economic depression while the US prospers and laughs at their neighbors to the south.
After years of civil war, the Russian nation is transformed into the Soviet Union with Stalin as the late Lenin's successor. Italy begins its economic recovery. President Harding dies. Protestant socialists demonstrate in the new CSA capital of Raleigh, demanding that slavery, the class system, and gender inequality to end. However, a mob of pro-CSA patriots commit violence upon the protestors and the police. More fugitive blacks escape from the south and about a third of them are executed by US border patrol. The American Communist Party's pro-Soviet ideals lead to a red scare in the US.
