Divided US 2078

Here is a map of the world in 2078, when ACTA was passed into law, causing complete separatism as the people soon realized that their government and the Constitution have both failed them. Lamar Smith becomes president without election, but only to have nothing other than a few states under his control, including Virginia and Washington DC. Other political groups such as the Fascists, the Communists, the Fundamentalists, the Liberals, the Corporations, the Conservatives, the Mormons, the Anarchists, the KKK, the Muslims, the Derbies, the Ghetto Boys, and the Libertarians divide America while Smith and his fellow right-winged socialists take power within the newly established "Federation of America". Meanwhile, the UN is torn into pieces and thus a left-winged Socialist dictatorship known as the "Collective Union of Socialist Nations", fighting against the remnants of their predecessor. The capital of the CUSN is the British city of Rome, which makes it a "new Roman empire". A majority of Latin America becomes involved and is thus transformed into a collection of right-winged states with extremely Catholic, since the CUSN is Atheists and that the UN remnants are multi-religious. The Canadians decided to form their own empire by taking over Greenland and Alaska while Southern Africa succeeds into remaining independent from CUSN control. The Chinese, Koreans, Japanese, and Mongolians have finally decided to become independent from both the Un and the CUSN by forming the militarized nation of Panasia as a symbol of the preservation of East Asian culture.

The former US (with the exception of the state of Alaska) is left alone only to suffer long years of division, ideology wars, racism, drug smuggling, class struggle, religious intolerance, and lawlessness, leaving no leader in power to unify the states.
