Description

Here is a pre-Empire propaganda poster that depicts a young Cornelius Augustus von Hamtinburg as an ideal philosopher and a "savior" to the Germanican people, although it was his father, Benedict von Hamtinburg who developed the totalitarian ideology of Technolism. There is a huge portrait of the founder at a city district where giant columns with golden, double-headed eagles and massive banners stand and where a factory brings forth smoke into the atmosphere. Above the monuments is a waving flag of what would be the Germanican Empire. Behind Cornelius are a trio of hands, each one holding a different item: a hammer (workers), a sword (the military), and and axe (agriculture). Above him is a copy of the Technolist Manifesto (a book similar to Karl Marx's "Communist Manifesto"), in which it holds the very principles and teachings of Technolism as well as the demonization of other ideals. The words are in German (Germanican within society outside of Earth), in which they are translated into the slogan: "One People. One God. One Empire. One Leader."

Twelve days before the coronation, after the end of the Terran Wars, the Germanican Technolist Party has three remaining rivaling parties left to dispose of before taking absolute control. The Communists gained popularity through the vast number of industrial workers within the city slums. The Conservatives gain their support primarily form within more rural worlds with the support of poor class farmers and upper class plantation owners. And then there are the Fascists, who have gained their support from both Technolist and Republican generals turned rouge, as well as from middle class nationalists. Seeking to complete his late father's dream, as well as the complete unification of Germanicus, Cornelius, with the help of Fermmon Verlin and Nero von Grunnivar, had officially purged the "dissenters" and killed various leaders, both Fascist, Communist, and Conservative alike. The anarchists were also gotten rid of as they posed another threat to the Party's domination of Germanican society because of their distrust with every form of government.

Baron Hector von Sturumburg II, another opponent of the Technolists, sought to protect the Sturumburg Family by calling fellow aristocrats and a few mercenaries to assassinate pro-Hamtinburg supporters. Upset with this, Cornelius ordered that those of the rebelling houses were to be executed and accused them of treason and dissent. Eventually, even a few fellow technolists began to turn against him in support for his Christian Pacifist brother, Rudolf von Hamtinburg. On the last three days before his coronation, Cornelius ordered his brother exiled and his supporters eliminated (a similar event to the Night of the Long Knives). As a result, Technolism became the only ideology in Germanicus, leaving the newly crowned Fuhrer-Kaiser and his fellow part members without rival.
