Kanj'suoi

The Kanj'suoi are an ancient race that were known to be responsible for establishing a civilization that occurred within modern-day Yamato seventy five million years prior to the rise of the empire built by the Yamaton humans. They are a wise, religious, and nature-loving people who tend to isolate themselves from the humans that now dominate their planets as the racial majority. They are capable of breathing in both water and oxygen and are primarily an agricultural race while remaining hostile towards industrialization within their lands. much of their origins remain unknown, but it is likely that they evolved from a species of fish and eventually mad trade with the ancient edanian Kingdom through a vast trade network that spanned from Yamato to Europa. However, by 12,000 AD, the humans that migrated into the planets controlled by the Kanj'suoi were ultimately conquered the region and left the ancient fishlike race to become a minority. By 1500, however, their population recovered into about thirteen billion and became isolated from the rest of galactic society.
