KSF Centaur Mk I Light Tank by GeneralHelghast KSF Centaur Mk I Light Tank by GeneralHelghast
The Centaur Mk I Light Tank, sometimes called a Bullfrog Tank or simply the Centaur, is a light tank created by Vadder Industries and used by the Galactic Rebel Alliance. It is a lightly armored vehicle with four passenger seats, a turret equipped with a laser cannon, and a driver, serving as both a tank and a transport. The Centaur is the fastest tank made by the Terrans and will prove useful for the Galactic Rebel Army during the events of the Second Galactic War. It is also easy to produce and thus it speeds up the production of these tanks.

Its name came from the Centaur from Greek mythology, but its appearance was inspired by the Soviet T-50 Tank and the BTR-70.

The tank would be unstable since the tracks do not cover the whole length of the tank body. It's gonna have a rough time dealing with rough terrain.

Well, its actually a fast tank that can make it jump on cliffs, so it wouldn't be that hard.

excuse me but I would like to have your permission to take this and try my hand at drawing it. Send me a message if you would allow me too, I would be willing to send you an email with the final so you could upload it as well as I.

I think It would have a hard time getting up hills. With the ends being very pointy and outstretching from the tank, It probably couldn't drive over a trench. The wieght of the turret would make it tip in and plop, your stuck because the front is jammed in the ground. When stopping it would probably tip back and fourth making aiming very hard for the crew and with only 3 wheels on each side it would be very prone to suspension failure. Dispite those various cons It has a wide track base meaning it would be protected from tipping and ramming. Also it has very sloped armor. Making its low armor seem more like medium armor. If its tracks were longer it could be much more efficient. :meow:

well, it mainly relies on its speed to win wars and its turret is not heavy enough to slow it down as it has been given certain parts that make it light enough for such accuracy. It could get up hills just fine since the front part of the tank might point upward before getting up a hill. The disadvantage with it, however, is that it could still have a risk of being stuck in trenches, should its speed not be quick enough to avoid the problem.

Well if it has so much speed you say upon decelerating it could sharply dig into the ground and halt Injuring crew, Breaking armor, or even Going end over end.

And that's why they have to be careful not to be too fast or too slow. Its probably as fast as a car so injuries would be a result if the crew is not careful enough. Don't let the appearance fool you into thinking that it moves too slow because it is still capable of using enough speed to avoid being trapped in a trench.

Not bad though an Idea for the Mk2 could be longer treads as I worry that the treads are a little too short, I can see the fore end digging in when going over trenches...

well, lucky fully, it would have high amounts of speed on its side.

still an eight foot wide trench would stop it, same happened to the prototype ones in WW1 with the shorter base
